What you need to join

Equipment, connectivity: all you need to know

  • What do I need to do to join?

    • A compatible heating system (air/water, soil/water or water/water heat pump, direct electrical heating, night storage heating)
    • An existing broadband connection which stays on 24/7, with a spare Ethernet port or a good 3G signal on your mobile phone
    • An available power socket in the room with good connection
    • To be aware that our certified electrician might have to build an extension to your electrical panel if you don't have enough space in your existing one to install the Kbox. This is included in your tiko power offer
    • An Android or Apple smart phone or an up-to-date internet browser (IE10+, Chrome, Safari or Firefox) on your computer to access your online dashboard on your computer, tablet or smartphone
  • Do I have to be a Swisscom customer to join tiko?

    No, you can join tiko independently from your home or mobile telecommunications provider.

  • Is my equipment compatible?

    Yes, if it is one of the electrical heating systems below:

    • Heatpump: Sole/Water, Air/Water, Water/Water
    • NSH: All types (Central or not, Heating air or Water, ...)
    • Direct heating: All types (Floor heatings, convectors, ...)

    You can also connect your hot water system.

  • I own an apartment in a multi-dwelling unit, can I still participate?

    To participate you will need the agreement of all the owners of the multi-dwelling unit.

  • I am renting an apartment, can I still participate?

    To participate you will need the authorization of the owner of the heating systems.

  • Once I register what's going to happen?

    • During check out, select your preferred installation date and pay for your order
    • The day before the installation, you will receive a reminder by SMS or Email
    • Our certified electrician installs tiko and will have it up and running in a couple of hours

    Please note that you can cancel your order for free until 4 days before the date when your installation is scheduled. After this date, a fixed fee of min. CHF 100.- will be retained on your refund.
